Bankfoot APAM

Pearce Planning Ltd were appointed to provide advice to APAM Bankfoot in connection with a refurbishment and upward extension to the existing office at Temple Meads. This appointment came during Covid when many were retreating from offices but the client wanted to transform this space into a modern day office considering current needs. Given the building’s superb location immediately adjacent to the Grade I Listed Station and on the route to the new side entrance and regeneration area of Temple Quarter beyond linking to the University Campus, BCC sought a re-activated ground floor so we opted for a Class E change to provide flexibility of space. The sensitive nature of this site in respect of the townscape and visual impact concerning the upward extension of 3 storeys was of key importance.

The team successfully obtained planning permission for this development and have subsequently amended the scheme via a Minor Material Amendment and are discharging planning conditions.

We have worked with Alan at Pearce Planning for several years, we continue to receive a professional and attentive service coupled with expert knowledge. Not only does he have an astute insight of local planning policies but also the wider planning context . Being very responsive and proactive means we will continue to work with Alan.
